Snoring Away

It just turned midnight. Still got a head cold so my sleep patterns are weird. Finished a quick digital scrapbook page layout just as the movie Fun with Dick and Jane ended. This page is a recent picture of Kael helping Grandpa take an afternoon nap. Kael is a Grandpa's boy (Mama's, too) and prefers that Grandpa spend all his time with him.

If anyone is interested in learning more about digital scrapbooking, drop me a note. I'd be glad to share this great way to "decorate" memories with you.

Today was grey and dreary. Tonight I heard a formation of Canadian geese flying by honking their heads off about the coming winter. Arden is in Chicago tonight. Had serial conversations as he sped down the tollway wondering if he was in the right lane.

Going to help Dawn plan a Halloween party for Hunter and classmates. Too bad Mom wasn't here to be the witch like she did when Josh was little. Halloween is prime picture time so watch out for some fun pages featuring Josh in his famous Tigger costume. Dawn's been looking over some really cute costumes for the boys and Hunter is still undecided (although I'm sure he wants to be something scary and gruesome).

Have a good Friday!

P. S. Happy Birthday to Lynn (my life coach) and Molly (Dawn's little sis)!

Our 4th Grader

Year-round school schedules still baffle Grandma. Hunter started 4th grade in mid-July then had August off. Makes a kid feel like summer didn't happen. Hunter loves his new teacher and proudly showed off his "agenda" yesterday when I picked him up from school. As we drove around doing errands (while Orion alternated between crying and sleeping in the back seat), Mr. Hunter read me articles from Time for Kids.
Here's a recent picture sans smile because he is waiting for his loose tooth to fall out and doesn't want anyone to see it!
Hunter is very excited about getting to go to the Formula 1 race in Indianapolis next May. Josh made him watch all the races this year as endurance preparation. He doesn't always make it through them live (only Grandpa is crazy enough to get up at 4 a.m.) but he watches the recaps and always knows the poll results. As Hunter told Grandpa, "I just love the sound of racing in the morning!"

Seems I've caught Orion's cold - having your shirt used as a nose wipe probably did it - so I'm sniffling and feeling hot today!

Really enjoying this blog - learning how to do things as I go around. Send me a message or sign-up and leave a comment on what you think - please!

Sniffle... sniffle... bye for today...

Scion Twins

As you know, Josh sells Toyota Scions. He's a very successful and popular salesman (he sold Dawn her car then married her). As a proud Scion owner (first they had two matching white tCs and now Josh drives a great burgundy xB), he has enlisted his twins to promote the brand. As soon as they can walk, I'm certain he'll have them wearing a sandwich board. LOL!

Although they are too young to drive, they do make that brrmmmm sound and love to ride in their car seats.

Hunter is getting ready for Halloween (Josh's favorite holiday). He isn't certain what he'll go as but it won't be anything dorky like Dad suggested. Wouldn't Kael make a great Yoda and Orion Chuwbacca? This year we'll decorate our yard with scary witches and tombstones. Yeah! another photographic opportunity.

Enjoy your day!

Sharon

P. S. Did you reflect on the past five years to commemorate 9/11? How has your live changed since then? Was 9/11 the catalyst?

Welcome to My Blog!

Welcome to my blog! This first post will be short and sweet. It's late and I just wanted to add a scrapbook page of Orion. Took the picture on Sunday while he was staying with me. He has a little cold so smiles were hard to come by. Spent the day snuggling and wiping!
